Stuart hall had the theory in which he said that a media platform will have an aspect of which the consumers can relate too. He claimed there were three main ways to represent the negotiation between producer and consumers, to an extend he was right.
One way
prefered reading: when you can relate what you see to somthing in real life E.G.
negotiating readig: is a specific idea put across towards the audiance which the consumer accepts E.G.
the opposition reading: when the idea put across by the producer is rejected by the consumer, mainly because it did not resemble what the producer wanted to put across or because it was very rubbish E.G.
