need for speed undercover sounds remake

This sound remake was the hardest out of all the other sounds, this was because acquiring the right sounds was very hard to do for example cars crashing, police sirens, speeding engine e.g. with a lot of hard work and patients i got the sounds i needed but these were not at the right proximity or loudness and i had to change a lot of the sounds in the editing process.

I got the siren noise i recorded from a passing ambulance, the car crash from smashing two tesco trolly's together and speeding car by recording the exhaust of a sports car.

I also recorded passing traffic as foley sound and used some segments for cars passing in the game

For the pop ups in the game i got on the electric guitar and strung down on the strings to create a screeching sound.

The last noises i added were radio music, for this i selected two songs very carefully which i believe complimented the mood very well. Half way through the car chase the music gets changed so for the radio station change i put a radio static noise in-between to make the game more realistic. Also when the car crashes the radio cuts off and restarts, i did this to be more immersive.

The biggest problem i had was to make the sounds an equal volume. Some of the sounds i had were too quite and some were too loud, at the end i balanced the sounds out to compliment each other but the over all audio was still a little quite.

I believe this piece came out great for the nature of the game and the difficulties in acquiring the sounds.

fight night campion sound remake

Here is one of the games i have chosen to make sounds for, this game was pretty simple and was easy to work with i used a lot of interesting effects and filters to get the exact feel i wanted.

First of all the sound and setting had to match, here we have a boxing ring so most of the sound would be from the audience cheering in a large echoing room, for this i got a group of people to cheer and overlapped the sound many times over so you cant hear the looping of the track.

Here you can see the logic version and you can also see the technique i used to get the cheering to sound good.

To get the proximity and feel right i adjusted the reverb to get a good echo sound and after sound which then made it sound like a real boxing audience.

I have also played this game myself and studied the gameplay, the punching sounds in the game were there but was not too loud, i took this technique and used it myself for my punching sounds which came out very well.

One thing i believe i could have done better would be the vocals of the commentators which were too loud and the proximity wasn't too good,

Beat it (sean kingston ft chris brown, wiz khalifa)

B

This video is very new and literally came out the day i'm writing the post. its only has 300+ estimated views.

rudimental! waiting all night video concepts

Creative concept

Music video is based on a real life tragedy of a BMX champion and actor who became an amputee after an accident. The director specifically had the amputee's friends in the video just to make a more realistic and lifelike remake of the events which happened.

Performer's image

The actual artist are not shown here but this is there iconic image not to be shown and instead rely on the director to make a more interesting and creative music video, in this occasion they used another persons story and struggle  to raise awareness.

Narrative

As I said earlier there is definitely a clear story here and the narrative is one which is based on real life which really makes this video stand out from other music videos with narratives.

Pace

The pace is different through out the video but the music and video work mutually with each other and speed up and slow down simultaneously. For example certain emotional parts of the video are shown only when the pace of the music is lower and more soothing.

Mood

The mood which the viewer would experience from this are sympathy and sorrow as well as hope and happiness through out the music video. this video has a lot of emotional manipulation and engages with the audience very closely.

Intended audience

This is very interesting because the music is aimed at a specific audience which would be 16- 35 year olds, but the music video itself has a universal audience and can be watched and enjoyed by all sorts of people in all age groups.
